It's happening.
After years of making this for family, for friends, for anyone who would sit still long enough to try it, Charlie's Pickles is officially launching in Europe on the 21st of September, 2026.
As the Autumn Equinox approaches in this incredible summer in Amsterdam, our first production run is happening. Jars are being filled. They're stacking up in our kitchen right now, looking exactly as good as they taste.
We started with a recipe that has been in the family since 1960. A South Indian spiced fish pickle from a Malaysian kitchen that somehow made its way to The Netherlands. Wherever and whenever we served it, we got the same reaction:
What is this? Why haven't I tasted this before? Where can I get it?
So we decide to answer all these questions.
Pre-orders are open now. The first jars will ship from September 21st. And if you're one of the people who ordered early, thank you. Genuinely. You believed in this before there was anything to believe in except a jar filled with saltfish padda and a story.
